The song would spend 2 weeks at the top and a total of 18 weeks on the chart. What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted was the third and final single release from Robson & Jerome. Produced by Mike Stock and Matt Aitken, it was their third single to debut at the top of the chart, the first act to do so at the time.
