Robson & Jerome - What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted

24 years ago today Robson & Jerome entered the UK singles chart at #1 with What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted.

The song would spend 2 weeks at the top and a total of 18 weeks on the chart.

What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted was the third and final single release from Robson & Jerome. 
Produced by Mike Stock and Matt Aitken, it was their third single to debut at the top of the chart, the first act to do so at the time. It was also the first Triple A single to hit #1 with Saturday Night At The Movies and You'll Never Walk Alone also included. 
These tracks were taken from their second multi-platinum album Take Two.

Robson & Jerome would eventually sell 5 million copies of the three singles released and 7 million copies of albums before quitting music after only 2 years together.
