  The Fizz - Amen 3 years ago The Fizz released Amen, the second single from their album, The f-Z Of Pop. Written by Kyla Stroud and produced by Mike Stock and Jimmy Junior, the accompanying video had a decidedly Halloween feel to it. Shot in black and white and with the group in gothic attire, the clip shows Cheryl walking through an abandoned house before meeting up with the others. Scooch - When My Baby 21 years ago today Scooch entered the UK singles chart at #29 with When My Baby. The song would peak at #29 and spend 4 weeks on the chart.  Scooch comprises of Natalie Powers, Russ Spencer, Caroline Barnes and David Ducasse. They were formed in 1998 after having auditioned for an all-singing all-dancing pop group in front of producers Mike Stock and Matt Aitken the previous year. Their debut single, When My Baby was released in November 1999 and entered the Top 40 at #29, it's peak position.  Brother Beyond - He Ain't No Competition 32 years ago today Brother Beyond entered the UK singles chart at #30 with He Ain't No Competition. The song would peak at #6 and spend 10 weeks on the chart. The song, written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, was the follow-up to their first major hit - The Harder I Try.  The single reached #4 in Ireland, #6 in the UK and was a Top 40 hit in Belgium, Finland, Germany and New Zealand. Kylie Minogue - Never Too Late 31 years ago today Kylie Minogue entered the UK singles chart at #17 with Never Too Late. The song would peak at #4 and spend 10 weeks on the chart. Never Too Late, written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, was the third single to be lifted from Kylie's second album, Enjoy Yourself.  The low debut position of #17 was due to the delayed release of the 12" single but it jumped to it's peak of #4 the next week where it stayed for 2 weeks. This peak position broke Minogue's impressive run of seven consecutive top two hits but gave her another Silver BPI award for sales over 200,000. Elsewhere the single peaked at #1 in Ireland and hit the Top 40's in Australia, France, Holland, New Zealand, Spain and Switzerland.  Sybil - Make It Easy On Me 30 years ago today Sybil entered the UK singles chart at #99 with Make It Easy On Me.  The song would peak at #99 and spend 1 week on the chart. "M ake It Easy on Me " is a song by American R&B singer   Sybil , written and produced by Stock Aitken & Waterman . It was the third single released from her third album,   Sybilization , in 1990. While Sybil had landed a deal in the UK with Pete Waterman's PWL Records for her previous album,  Sybil , the song was her first direct involvement with the producers Stock Aitken & Waterman, although some of her previous singles had been remixed by the production team and their associates on PWL Records. Sybil later worked with Mike Stock and Pete Waterman on her 1993 album  Good 'N' Ready , on which a remixed version of the song is included. Kylie Minogue - Step Back In Time 30 years ago today, Kylie Minogue entered the UK singles chart at #9 with Step Back In Time.  The song would peak at #4 and spend 8 weeks on the chart. Step Back In Time was taken from Kylie's third album, Rhythm Of Love. Released as the albums second single on 22nd October 1990 it was written, arranged and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. Step Back In Time was composed as a Disco song that intended to pay tribute to the 1970's culture. According to Minogue's website, the lyrical content "paid homage to the classic songs and dance moves of the Disco era". The single made the Top 10 in Australia, Finland, Ireland, Spain and of course the UK. It also hit the Top 40 charts in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland.   Kylie Minogue & Keith Washington - If You Were With Me Now 29 years ago today Kylie Minogue entered the UK singles chart at #19 with If You Were With Me Now, her duet with Keith Washington. The song would peak at #4 and spend 7 weeks on the chart. The song, written by Stock/Waterman/Minogue/Washington, was the second release from Kylie's fourth studio album, Let's Get To It. The two singers recorded their parts separately and only met briefly at the filming of the video. The single's biggest success was in the UK but it also charted in Australia (#23), Belgium (#31) and Ireland (#7). Keith Washington is an American R&B vocalist from Detroit. He had a string of US R&B chart hits in the 90's including the #1 Kissing You from his #1 album, Make Time For Love. Jason Donovan - I'm Doing Fine #anniversary 30 years ago today Jason Donovan entered the UK singles chart at #35 with I'm Doing Fine. The song would peak at #22 and spend 6 weeks on the chart. I'm Doing Fine was the fifth and final single to be lifted from Donovan's second album, Between The Lines. Written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman it was an effective Beatles pastiche with a video featuring Jason and his own fab four alter egos. The song would sadly not break the Top 20, his first single to fail to do so, but nevertheless sent the album back up the charts in the run-up to Christmas.  Georgie Fame - Samba (Toda Menina Baiana) 34 years ago today Georgie Fame entered the UK singles chart at #81 with Samba (Toda Menina Baiana).  The song would peak at #81 and spend 2 weeks on the chart. Georgie Fame (born Clive Powell; 26 June 1943) is an English rhythm and blues and jazz singer and keyboard player. Fame, who had a string of 1960s hits, is still performing, often working with contemporaries such as Alan Price, Van Morrison and Bill Wyman.   Kylie Minogue - Let's Get To It #anniversary 29 years ago today Kylie Minogue entered the UK album chart at #15 with Let's Get To It. The album would peak at #15 and spend a total of 12 weeks on the chart. Let's Get To It was Kylie's fourth album and her final in collaboration with the PWL label. Her contractual obligations with PWL had been fulfilled, having signed for three studio albums, but all parties decided to make one final album. Recording took place in June and July 1991 with Kylie sharing song writing duties for the first time. Singles "Word Is Out" was serviced as the lead single for the album in August 1991, with "Say the Word - I'll Be There" as the B-side. The single was available as a limited edition 12" Summer Breeze mix, which "radically remixed" and reduced "the synthesised band sound" from the original version.
